This article will explain how to integrate reCAPTCHA security to your website.
1. What’s Google reCAPTCHA
Google introduced reCAPTCHA as a free service that protects your website from spam and abuse. They recently released version 3, which helps you detect abusive traffic on your website without any user friction. It returns a score based on the interactions with your website and provides you more flexibility to take appropriate actions.
A great advantage of V3 is that users will not any longer have to tick a box ‘I’m not a robot’.

2.1 Default Integration
An update to reCAPTCHA v3 will place by default a little “reCAPTCHA” badge at the bottom of your page, which would look like this:
This badge links to the Privacy and Terms of Google.
- The default solution is provided free of costs, as part of our website SLA.
We understand however that you might not want an impact on the aesthetics of your website and would prefer to hide the badge. We can offer 2 alternative solutions (extra charges apply):
2. Only show the badge on pages where a contact form is integrated
3. Hide de badge completely, but mention reCAPTCHA at the contact form (see 2.2)
2.2 Alternative integration
We can hide the default badge, but Google requests that the user is still informed about reCAPTCHA in the user flow. Therefore, we could add a link to the terms & conditions of Google above the “Send” button of your contact form, which would look like this:
If you want to have more clarification or wish to change the default solution, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will be happy to assist you!
