In this article, we will explain how to copy/export a page and how to import it to another website/domain name. Note: this should only be done when the page is exported within the same multi website, because of styling matters.

1. Exporting a Page

If you wish to export the page/template to another domain name – make sure that you only do so if both websites have the same styling and colour scheme. Otherwise you will NOT be able to copy these items between websites.

  1. Open the page you wish to copy > Edit with Elementor
  2. Once this is opened in Elementor, move to the bottom menu on the left side and click on the arrow > Save as Template:
  3. Give the template a name and press Save:
  4. Your saved template will appear on the bottom of the list of Templates. Behind the name, you see three dots, press this > Export. Your template will now be downloaded to your computer.

2. Importing the Page in another Website

  1. Open the backend of the website you wish to import the page > Pages
  2. Create a new page by pressing the button on top > Add New
  3. Give the new page a name and open in Elementor > Edit with Elementor:
  4. Once in Elementor, you will solely see a header and footer. Now we want to insert the page template you have just exported from the other website. To do so, open the Templates library:
  5. Then navigate to My Templates and press the upload-icon:
  6. The following field appears. If your downloaded file (the exported page) is still in the bottom bar, you can drag ‘n drop this to the field. Otherwise, use the Select File-button to upload the Exported file:
  7. Your imported file will appear at the bottom of the list of Templates. Press Insert behind the template-name, to insert your page template:
  8. You can now save the page.
