If you wish to duplicate a pop-up or export it to another website, make sure that you only do so in the following manner. If you duplicate it in the way you would normally duplicate a page, the type of the template changes into a Page and you will not be able to use it as a pop-up.

1. Saving the Pop-up as a Template

  • Login to your CMS and navigate to Templates > Popups > Edit with Elementor
  • Once this is opened in Elementor, move to the bottom menu on the left side and click on the arrow > Save as Template:

  • Give the template a name and press Save:
  • If you wish to export your template to another website, follow this step >> Your saved template will appear on the bottom of the list of Templates. Behind the name, you see three dots, press this > Export. Your template will now be downloaded to your computer.

2. Creating a New Pop-Up

  • Navigate to Templates > Popups
  • Press ‘Add New’
  • In the screen that pops up, choose ‘pop-up’ and give your pop-up a name
  • Press ‘Create Template’. You will be redirected to Elementor.

3. Inserting the Saved Template into a New Pop-Up

  • Once in Elementor, you will see an empty field showing three icons. You now wish to insert the pop-up template you have just exported from the other website or saved in the library. To do so, open the Templates library:

> If you have just exported/downloaded the template from another website, move to step 3.2

> If you have just saved the pop-up template and wish to insert it into a new one within one website, go to step 3.1. You can then skip 3.2.

3.1 Inserting a Saved Template from the Elementor Templates Library

  • Find the template you just saved in the list. Press Insert behind the template-name, to insert it in the new pop-up:
  • You can now make adjustments and save the popup.

3.2 Importing the Saved/Exported Template from Your Downloaded Files/Computer

  • Navigate to My Templates and press the upload-icon:
  • The following field appears. If your downloaded file (the exported page) is still in the bottom bar, you can drag ‘n drop this to the field. Otherwise, use the Select File-button to upload the Exported file:
  • Your imported file will appear at the bottom of the list of Templates. Press Insert behind the template-name, to insert your page template:
  • You can now save the popup or make adjustments.
