This article will explain when Google Ads charges your bank account or credit card, what the difference is between charges and invoices, and when invoices are shown in Google.

1. When does Google charge your bank account?

Your bank account or credit card will be charged when having accrued a certain amount of costs, known as your billing threshold, or 30 days after your last automatic charge.

Your payment threshold is initially set at a default amount. Each time your account hits its threshold before the 30-day billing cycle, your threshold increases. Thresholds vary per account, country, and currency, so be sure to check in your account to see what your current threshold is. See the illustration below for further explanation:

2. Difference between Charges and Invoices

Charges are the transactions that occur every time your payment threshold is reached and will most likely take place multiple times a month, depending on your threshold. If your threshold is not reached within the month, a charge will take place every 30 days. On invoices the transactions amount over an entire calendar month is collected. One invoice is made per month, and it becomes visible in your Google Ads Account around the 5th day of the following month.
