How to translate pages on your website


    With this article we will explain you how to translate pages in different languages.

1. Navigate to the collection "Pages" and select the page you want to adjust

  • Ensure that you close the 'live preview', as this can sometimes make that the changes are not saved, this can be done by selecting the exit cross in the right top corner.

2. Selecting the language

  • Once you are on the main page, you can see the different languages for the website in the bottom right corner
  • The languages that are translated will indicate green, if not, they will indicate red or grey as illustrated
  • Once you select a language that is not yet translated, Statamic will ask for a language of origin Hereby you select your default language, as in the illustration Dutch is used
  • The entire page will be identical to your language of origin page, you can delete the text and replace it with the translation. This will not influence the original page
  • To check the layout and content of the page, you can select live preview. Ensure to exit live preview mode to continue making changes

3. SEO Page.

  • When editing a page, its important to adjust the SEO page as well
  • Select the tab and adjust the Title & Description in the desired language that you were working on

4. Select save and Publish

  • Following the adjustments you just made, ensure to Save and Publish your changes
