In this article we will explain how to create a new page with an existing template. A new page or a part of it can be added by using templates that have been created through the Advanced page Builder.
1. Copy the content of a page in a new Template
Login to the CMS and select the page you want to set offline. Then follow these steps:
1. Save the content of the page (or part of it) in order to use it in the new page. For this click on “Templates” (see image 1) and then on the “Save Entry as Template” button (see image 2).
2. Choose a name for the template and click the “Save” button.
2. Create a new Page
1. Click on the “Add new page” link on the left side of your screen. Click on the “Leave” button on the pop up window.
This step applies only if no other changes have been done on the page (except the creation of the template). If any other changes have been done, click on the “Update” button before you leave from the page to save your changes.
3. Insert content to the new page using a template.
1. First of all give a Title to the new page. Then click on the “Advanced Layout Editor” button.
2. Click on the “Templates” button.
3. Select the template (by clicking on it) that you want to use (in this case the one you created earlier).
4. Preview, Save Or Publish your new Page
All the elements have been copied from the template into the new page and are now visible to your new page (red arrows). The content can be edited, photos can be changed just like it is done for any other page. When done, either Save the page as a template or Publish it.
The new page has been created.
