1.
Navigate
to the SEO
Yoast
Tool
- For
every
page,
you
should
fill
in the
meta
title
and
description.
These
will
be
used
in
search
engines
to
give
the
user
an
impression
of
what
will
be
featured
on the
page.
- Navigate
to your
website’s
backend in
the
default
language and
go to Pages.
- Hover over
the page
titles and
press Edit underneath
the page
you wish
to
update.

information
about your
specific
page will

the SEO
Yoast
plugin:
2. Update
the SEO
Yoast Tool
– Default
Language
To
keep
it
simple
for
now,
the
three
most
important
things
to
fill
out in
this
tool,
are
the
following:
- Focus
Keyphrase. In
this
field, you
can enter
the phrase
you’d like
this
specific
post or
page to
rank for
in the
search
engines.
- Google Preview. In this part, you can fill out the title and meta description that will show in the Google results. Keep in mind, that this is not a guarantee, as SEO involves many different aspects. Ranking in the Google results takes time and effort. But if you make sure to fill out a good SEO title and meta description, you will increase the odds of it being used by Google.
- Slug. Please
do
not
change
this,
as
this
is
the
URL
slug
and
therefore
the
link
to
your
page.
Changing
this,
could
impact
links
used
in
your
own
website.
- SEO Title. Choose a title that clearly reflects what your page is about. Also make sure to add your website’s title. Examples for set up:
- [page
title]
–
[site
title]
–
Official
Website
- [page
title]
–
[site
title]
–
[main
focus
/
product]
- [page
title]
–
[site
title]
–
Official
Website
- Meta
description. Again,
make
sure
to
create
a
meta
description
that
includes
what
your
page
is
focused
on.
If
a
keyword
research
was
already
conducted
for
your
website
and
page,
make
sure
to
use
these
in
the
description.
Use
the
keywords
that
you
would
like
to
rank
on
in
Google,
and
that
best
describe
your
product
and
main
focus
of
this
page.
The
best
practice
would
be
to
stay
under
the
maximum
amount
of
characters
as
shown
in
the
Yoast
plugin.
- Slug. Please
do
not
change
this,
as
this
is
the
URL
slug
and
therefore
the
link
to
your
page.
Changing
this,
could
impact
links
used
in
your
own
website.
